Serves: 4 persons

Ingredients
- 2 cups paneer cubes/ 250 grams ready paneer packet or Home Made Panner
- 2 cups pureed tomatoes (choose red tomatoes)
- 1 cup low fat milk
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon chopped garlic
- 3 cloves
- 1 teaspoon cardamom powder
- A pinch cinnamon powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- ½ teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon dry mango powder
- 1 tablespoon kasuri methi
- 2 teaspoons honey
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon Vegetable/Sunflower oil
- 2 tablespoons chopped coriander leaves
- Salt to taste
Method
Soak the paneer in hot salt water. This process makes the paneer soft and tasty
Heat a frying pan and sauté the onions and garlic in oil. Once they turn mild golden color, add cloves, cardamom powder, cinnamon powder and sauté for a few more minutes
Grind the above sautéed mixture into a fine paste. In the same frying pan add the butter and the ground onion garlic paste and sauté for a few more minutes.
Add the tomato puree, turmeric, cumin powder, black pepper powder, dry mango powder. Simmer for a few minutes
Add milk, honey and salt and simmer for 10 minutes.
Drain and add the paneer to the above makhani. Add Kasuri methi and simmer for few minutes.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with phulkas/naans/any other Indian bread
